Quick-care service is available to faculty and staff residing in the Centre Region. Occasionally, an individual has a minor illness but is unable to schedule an appointment with his or her primary-care physician. Instead of going to the emergency room, employees and their dependents can contact the Same-Day Acute Care Clinic at Penn State Family Medicine.
Partnering with Penn State Family Medicine and the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, the University is pleased to offer this treatment alternative. Quick-care services are not designed to replace an individual's primary-care physician. Similarly, anyone with a serious illness or injury should always seek care at the nearest Emergency Room.
The Same-Day Acute Care Clinic at Penn State Family Medicine is available from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays. The clinic is located in the Center Medical Services Building in front of the Mount Nittany Medical Center, the clinic can be contacted at 814-235-2480.
