PERMANENT RESIDENCY

An individual can become a permanent resident through employment and family sponsorship as well as through public or humanitarian policy.

Employment based petitions are handled by our office provided the department and the college support the petition.

Employment based petitions include:

  1. Outstanding Professor and Researchers
  2. Members of the professions holding advanced degree.

Aliens of Extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business or athletics can self-petition.

DV-Program:

The Congressionally mandated Diversity Immigrant Visa Program makes available 50,000 permanent resident visas annually, drawn from random selection among all entries to persons who meet strict eligibility requirements from countries with low rates of immigration to the United States.
