The University takes the health and safety of its employees very seriously. OHR's Workers' Compensation Department acts as a liaison to enhance the exchange of information between the injured worker’s supervisor and Human Resources Representative, the claims adjuster and medical providers.

An employee has an obligation to report any work-related injury, regardless of how minor, to his or her supervisor.

The timely reporting or injuries is essential. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has several deadlines that must be met with each injury report. Therefore, strict adherence to reporting deadlines as outlined in SY-O4 will be monitored and enforced.
