STAFF BIOS

Cassandra Kitko, B.S., M.B.A., Coordinator

With Health Matters since 1994, Cassandra coordinates and promotes wellness programs for Penn State faculty and staff, and is the central contact for the University's Employee Assistance Program. She also works on various projects within the Employee Benefits Division.

Cassandra earned a bachelor's degree in corporate health education and an M.B.A. from Penn State.

 

Pam Glanert, L.P.N, Health Promotion Specialist

A Health Promotion Specialist since 2001, Pam coordinates the Know Your Numbers program, writes articles for the HealthAmerica Living Well magazine and assists Cassandra in presenting various preventive health education programs to Penn State faculty and staff. She also is the Corporate Instructor to Penn State for the American Red Cross.

Previous to joining Health Matters, Pam was the Pediatric Health Coordinator for Work/Life Programs. Pam's pediatric background brings a new dimension to Health Matters. Pam continues to consult for the various children's programs on campus.

 

Linda Tobin, M.S., Health Promotion Specialist

Linda was a Health Promotion Specialist for Health Matters from 1994-1997, and returned to the department in February 2006. Prior to arriving at Penn State, she was a Health Educator at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA and at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. Most recently she served as an Assistant Director for community Programs at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, PA.

Linda is a graduate of Penn State in Exercise Science and holds an M.S. degree in Exercise Physiology from Arizona State University. She specializes in adult health and wellness issues.

 

Linda Poorman, B.S., A.A.S., NASM, Health Screening Specialist

Linda is a 2002 graduate of The Pennsylvania College of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Health Studies. She also received an Associate of Applied Sciences in Physical Fitness in 2001.

Linda has two certifications; one in Golf Fitness and another from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Linda specializes in adult fitness and wellness.

 

Christine Kosempa, B.S., A.A.S., R.N., Health Screening Specialist

Christine graduated from Penn State with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Policy and Administration in 1993. In 1997, she completed an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from the Pennsylvania College of Technology. During that time, Christine achieved clinical excellence in psychiatric nursing. As a Licensed Registered Nurse, Christine gained valuable experience as clinical staff, a supervising RN, and a Nurse Case Coordinator.

 

Leslie McGonigal, B.S., M.S., Health Screening Specialist

Leslie is a graduate of Lock Haven University with a B.S. in Fitness Management and a graduate of Bloomsburg University with a M.S. in Exercise Physiology. Leslie is also a certified Holoistic Life Coach.

 

Courtney Record, B.S., Health Screening Specialist

Courtney is a 2008 graduate of Lock Haven University with a degree in Health Science and a concentration in Community Health. She is a previous intern with the Health Matters program. Courtney plans to pursue a Master's degree in Substance Abuse and Clinical Counseling
