JOIN THE STAFF ADVISORY COUNCIL!
Details
The Council consists of fifteen to twenty-five staff members in exempt and nonexempt positions. Appointments are made with an effort to include a diverse representation of staff from a variety of University units and locations.
The term of office of an appointed member (voting position) normally is three years, commencing on July 1. Candidates will be chosen in early June.
The term of office of a volunteer (non-voting) position normally is one year following selection. University staff members are encouraged to apply as volunteers at any time during the academic year. Volunteers are not eligible to hold office but are welcome to attend meetings and serve on committees.
One staff member shall serve as liaison from each of the following organizations for a one-year period:
- Commission for Women
- Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity
- Commission on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Equity
The Associate Vice President for Human Resources approves appointments of members based on the Membership Committee's recommendations.

Full-time staff employees (non-bargaining unit) are eligible to apply.
